Welcome to Walking Fit!


Thanks to all who are part of WalkingFit.  After 10 years, WalkingFit will be coming to an end. The Faculty and Staff Wellness program the The WELL bring you the NEW R'MOVE program, an online phyiscal activity tracking program, where you track your steps and earn prizes! The more you MOVE, the more you WIN. Sign up online at ucr.walkertracker.com.

WalkingFit is one of the wellness programs which support the UC Living Well and UCR Wellness initiatives. It is a free program for all UCR faculty and staff designed to promote lifelong fitness and improve health and well-being through daily cumulative movement. The campus-wide program began in November 2007 and encourages staff and faculty to walk their way to a healthier body.

Each WalkingFit participant receives a free pedometer to track their daily steps. The program promotes the nationally recognized goal of 10,000 steps per day.  As participants accumulate steps, they are rewarded for their progress. Participants can earn prizes such as Walking Fit Water Bottles, a bag to store their walking shoes, a Walking Fit Travel Mug, and a Walking Fit T-Shirt.
